CANCELED: Author Mary Lynn Kluss at Chapter 52 Bookstore

Event Type: Library Event
Date: 5/2/2020
Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Time: 12:00 PM
As a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19, this program has been canceled.

Wisconsin author and artist Mary Lynn Kluss will sell and sign copies of her illustrated children’s book, “Flash.”

In her book, Flash, the son of an abandoned cat, tells the story of his mom’s journey to Heavenly Acres Farm where some very loving people adopted her and, although they didn’t know it, her five unborn kittens.

The simple, heartwarming story has a happy ending and a serious message to young people about the importance of spaying and neutering pets to prevent suffering. Kluss will donate 25 percent of proceeds from her sale of “Flash” to the Fond du Lac Humane Society.

Kluss was born in Tachikawa, Japan, where her father was stationed with the military. The family returned to Wisconsin, where Kluss grew up and attended Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee. Her love of painting turned into a portrait business. Throughout the years, she developed a special place in her heart for unwanted animals.
