Author Event at Chapter 52: Christopher Micklos In-Person

Join us Saturday, June 27 from 10 am to noon for an Author Event at Chapter 52 Bookstore.

Christopher Micklos, author of Tick Town, will be available to talk with visitors and will be selling copies of his book.

Book description (provided by author):

Tomahawk Hollow has a huge problem. Slaughtered livestock. Disappearing townsfolk. And something in the woods hungry for blood. When a young reporter and her boss investigate, they discover a band of giant mutant ticks have made the rural Wisconsin tourist town their feeding ground. Now, with the annual Harvest Moon Jubilee about to begin, Emmaline and Jackson must race to find the queen tick and her nest before a massive clutch of monster eggs hatch…and thousands more terrifying ticks are unleashed into the world! Horror legend Ramsey Campbell says: "The giant bugs are back with a gruesome vengeance! Lovers of the kind of monstrous plague the Guy N. Smith tradition loosed upon the world should find much to relish in this book." British Godfather of Gore Shaun Hutson says: ""Tick Town is a great throwback to the golden age of pulp horror paperbacks, books like The Rats, Slugs and Bats out of Hell. Books that shaped a genre and gave so much enjoyment to so many. Books like this don't come along very often so make sure you don't miss it." The Midwest Book Review says: “Original, deftly crafted, and a fun read from cover to cover, ‘Tick Town’ by Wisconsin author Christopher A. Micklos is the kind of science fiction story they used for making B-movie SciFi flicks of the 1950s starring monsters threatening mankind. Featuring an impressive blending of pulp fiction style imagination, action, horror, and thrills (and with a cover art reminiscent of those old movie posters from the 50s) ‘Tick Town’ is especially and unreservedly recommended…”
