Badge & Make: Easy Sew Bags In-Person
Come and receive training on the Idea Studio's Sewing Machine (Janome Schoolmate S-3015) and serger. In this class you will learn how to use the sewing machine to sew fabric with various basic stitches and you will have the opportunity to sew you own bag. Users have the option to bring their own fabrics to make their projects with, otherwise a variety of fabric will be available to choose from. Some scrap fabric and thread are available for use, but availability varies. Once users have gone through this free training session you will be able to use the sewing machine or serger at your convenience for up to six hours per week when the Idea Studio is open.
This class is for ages 13 and over. Registration and a library card/account number are required. Space is strictly limited, so please cancel in advance if you are unable to attend. Other times available by appointment. Contact ideastaff@fdlpl.org with your request.
