Idea Studio Badging: Janome Sewing Machines and Serger In-Person
Come and receive training on the Idea Studio's Sewing Machines (Janome Schoolmate S-3015) and Serger (Janome MyLock 634D). In this class you will learn how to use the sewing machine and serger to sew fabric with various basic stitches If time allow, patrons will have the opportunity to sew an easy to make fabric bookmark for free. After attending this class, you will have earned your badge, which will allow you to use these machines for free for up to six hours a week while the Idea Studio is open.
Users have the option to bring their own fabrics, and thread, if desired, when using the machines. Some scrap fabric and a variety of thread are available for use as well, but availability varies.
This class is for ages 13 and over. Registration and library card/account number are required. Space is strictly limited, so please cancel in advance if you are unable to attend. Other times available by appointment. Contact ideastaff@fdlpl.org with your request.
