Idea Studio Badging: Mold Maker In-Person
Get badged on our mold making machine! The Mayku Multiplier is a desktop pressure former that heats up thermoplastic and exerts 4 tons of force to create molds with details up to 0.0004mm thick (the thickness of ink on top of paper). Molds can then be used for a variety of applications and casting materials - from chocolate to concrete, to Jello and cosplay armor! Create prototypes, final parts, or continue to cast objects with high quality, re-usable molds!
This free training session includes machine operation and template design basics. The Multiplier can create molds out of three types of thermoplastic sheets, using a variety of materials as templates.
This class is for ages 18 and over. Registration and library card/account number are required. Space is strictly limited, so please cancel in advance if you are unable to attend. Other times available by appointment. Contact ideastaff@fdlpl.org with your request.
