Cheese and Food Technologist Dean Sommer at the UW-Madison Center for Dairy Research will present 'For the Love of Cheeses.'
Sommer will look at how the dairy industry took hold in Wisconsin and how it evolved over the years into its Dairy State prominence as the cheese capital of the U.S. He'll look at the importance of the artisan cheese movement and how it helps Wisconsinís dairy industry. With plenty of tasty artisan cheese samples.
History at Home programs take place on the third Thursday of the month at 2 pm and repeated at 6 pm. They focus on local and state history. Many History at Home programs are recorded and available on the libraryís YouTube channel. Free. No registration.
