Getting Started with Raspberry Pi in the Idea Studio

 The second 'Getting Started' class in the Idea Studio will teach how to use Raspberry Pi, which is available free for checkout with a valid library account. For adults and children aged 13 or older. Space is limited; registration required and starts at 9:30 am Feb 15.

Raspberry Pi is a wallet-sized computer that connects to your TV. It was designed to be an inexpensive way to teach coding and has become popular among learners and hobbyists. The library’s Kano kits include the Raspberry Pi and package it with custom software, instructions and accessories designed to teach basic computer mechanics. This hands-on class is geared for beginners and will cover how to connect and set up a Kano kit, demonstrate a few applications and uncover some of the uses for the basic Raspberry Pi. Basic computer literacy is helpful.
