|Crafternoon: Beginning Knitting @ 10 am|

Needle arts aficionado Jan Stoegbauer will start at the very beginning of knitting, teaching how to cast on, how to knit and purl, how to cast off and how to read a yarn skein label. Knitters will be start a washcloth and finish it at home. Each participant must bring U.S. size 6 knitting needles (sizes 5 and 8 will work, but 6 are the best), and a small skein of yarn (avoid 100 percent cotton). Crafternoon programs are free and open to adults and children in middle school or older. Space is strictly limited. No walk-ins or under-aged children allowed. Registration is taken online only and begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1, here at the Calendar. No phone or in-person registrations will be taken.
