Celebrating Women’s History Month, we hear about Electa Quinney, a Stockbridge Indian who was Wisconsin's first public school teacher. Trained in New York, Quinney taught Native American and white students at Kaukauna in the 1820s. Presented at 2 pm and repeated at 6 pm by Karyn Saemann, author of 'Electa Quinney: Stockbridge Teacher,' who will sell and sign copies of her book, which was written for the WI Historical Society's Badger Biography series of books for young readers ages 7-12.
